Even losing the games against Bihar (which begins Thursday in Patna) and Madhya Pradesh (beginning January 30 in Indore), however, will not hurt the former champions' prospects. They cannot qualify for the next round after winning just six points in the last five matches.

But the induction of former India Under-19 World Cupper Zeeshan Ansari, and pacers Kartik Tyagi, Vaibhav Chaudhary and Kartikey Jaiswal in the place of Rinku Singh, Nitish Rana, Yash Dayal and Aaquib Khan will encourage the youngsters to showcase their skill in the next season.
