Revolution Bars in profit warning as parties fizzle out

SHARES in Revolution Bars plunged as much as 22% this morning after the hospitality chain issued a profit warning over slow January sales and paused all refurbishment spending in a bid to save cash.
The company, which operates 58 bars as well as a pub chain and a market hall, said January trade had begun "softly" despite strong demand at Christmas, and warned that a 14.8% rise in the national minimum wage for 18 to 20 year olds would represent a major costs increase for the business.
