Centrica cools as energy crisis eases

THE mood of Centrica shareholders in Glasgow for today's AGM of the British Gas owner was today soured by a 5% slide in the value of their investments.
The 6.7p reverse to 134.6p came even though Centrica said its year-to-date performance has met expectations amid the return of a more normal trading environment. But with the boost to wholesale operations from a spike in commodity prices now over, AJ Bell investment director Russ Mould said these conditions may have unsettled the City.
