HE MIGHT NOT HAVE MADE A COMPETITIVE APPEARANCE, BUT MARTYN WAGHORN ‘ABSOLUTELY LOVED’ THIRD DERBY SPELL

- By LEIGH CURTIS

MARTYN Waghorn revealed how he was lured back to Derby County for a third time by John Eustace and “absolutely loved” being back at Pride Park.

The former Coventry striker did not kick a ball competitively for Derby, but Eustace noted his impact along with the senior players as the Rams stayed up in the Championship.

Speaking on the UndrtheCosh podcast, Waghorn revealed how the move came about and that he was brought in to raise standards and be a positive influence.

“I had a two-month spell at Northampton and I actually announced my retirement in February,” he said.
