GEWAN upstaged the socalled A-listers with a shock 25-1 victory in Newmarket’s Darley Dewhurst Stakes.

The betting painted the sevenfurlong Group One as a head-tohead between Aidan O'Brien's 7-4 favourite Gstaad and 9-4 second choice Distant Storm, bidding to give Charlie Appleby and Godolphin back-to-back triumphs after Shadow Of Light’s success 12 months ago.
