ESSEX have announced that all-rounder Paul Walter has signed a new deal with the club until the end of the 2028 season.

The tall batting all-rounder has opened the batting this season in the Rothesay County Championship and has had incredible success, scoring 495 runs at an average 61.87.

A product of the Academy, Walter signed his first professional contract with the club in June 2016 and made his debut that season.
