CURVES AND CLARITY
Tatler Homes Singapore
|August - September 2025
This elegant penthouse expresses an unexpected femininity by reimagining the traditionally masculine energy of dark colour palettes and clean lines.
With high ceilings and panoramic views from its enviable position on the 35th floor, this penthouse instantly caught the eye of its newest owner, who envisioned herself hosting family gatherings on the breezy rooftop terrace. The interiors were dated, but the previous owner had spent little time at home, leaving it in relatively good condition.
With concrete requirements in mind, the lady of the house engaged Summerhaus D'zign to turn the aged penthouse into a modern home, giving the team a short timeline of just two months to pull off the transformation.
FAMILY FIRSTCrucial to the renovation was the incorporation of three key areas: the aforementioned rooftop terrace for outdoor entertainment, a guest room for the owner's daughter and family to feel at home on visits from Australia, and a bedroom for her son and daughter-in-law, who plan to eventually move into the penthouse. Thankfully, the generous 3,150 sq ft floor plan welcomed all of these spaces, and more.
"Bearing in mind that the owner's family like to spend time outdoors, we wanted to evoke a relaxed atmosphere on the rooftop terrace," the designers say. "The original Jacuzzi was removed, and that space was converted into a conversation pit." Because she has a penchant for greenery, the team additionally fitted this space with plants, primarily choosing ones that are easy to take care of for the sake of simplicity.Dit verhaal komt uit de August - September 2025-editie van Tatler Homes Singapore.
