For any successful entrepreneur, multi-tasking is vital. But for any successful entrepreneur handling multiple businesses, there is a need to go one step beyond. Ask Mumbai-based Avinashh Bhatia, who has established himself in construction, real estate and hospitality after beginning his career at just 16 years old.

The son of Narendra Bhatia, a thoroughbred businessman and owner of five-decade-old Raja Builders, Avinashh is the founder of AB’s Hotels, a proprietary hospitality firm with brands like Simmply Sindh and The Tha’l Co under its umbrella. Raja Builders’ portfolio is extensive, with multiple residential and commercial buildings, service apartments, hospitality brands, and properties on lease across Mumbai. Avinashh trained under the watchful eye of his father, who handed over the reins of their suburban watering hole Club IX as well as their service apartments to him within a year.

“My father insisted that I work in every department before taking over any branch of the business. I enjoyed working on Club IX and establishing long-lasting relationships with our regular clientele, and at the same time, developed a forte in onsite construction and building. It was one of the most fruitful periods of my life.”
