GST Has Been Made Possible Not Because of One Person, but Because of Cooperation of So Many People,’ Says Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia.
IN HIS FIRST PRESS conference as Union Revenue Secretary, on 1 September 2015, Hasmukh Adhia (right), among other things, had said that the GST implementation was going to be his priority. Now, with a near-successful GST rollout, Adhia is not sitting on his laurels. He has been feted as the “man behind GST”, and “super bureaucrat”. Adhia, however, doesn’t like these labels. “GST has been made possible not because of one person, but because of cooperation of so many people,” says Adhia in an interaction with BW Businessworld.
