Currently, we are living in a world where, the designers clad facades with various costly and high energy consumption materials, regardless of the impact on the environment. Abstracting this practice, the architect Manoj Patel aims to explore and create a new climatic screening for hot Indian climates from vernacular material: Clay roof tiles in Vadodara. Certain spaces have the power to demand regal demeanor and evoke the dormant royal in everyone’s conscience. A similar vibe is experienced in this European neo‐classical styled palatial residence in Ahmedabad designed by Dilip Soni Architects and interiors by KSUP Studio, has an aura similar to those of royal castles. A couple of divergent pentagonal prisms cantilevered beyond a solid red laterite wall and protruding out staring into the surrounding wooded greens gives a distinct character to this Villa on a Hillock in Mangalore, designed by Ar Adithya G Kashyap & Ar Sharada Seshadri. This bi-level bright & convivial space GupShup is a vibrant, Bombay-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Gramercy, New York, designed by Rizvi along with Delhi-based This Is It Designs and the New York-based branding experts Kern+Lead. Mannrangi at Malad in Mumbai designed by interior designer Saniya Kantawala reminisce the true essence of contemporary India, the handmade furniture and rustic art pieces from around the country lend it a modern, casual chic vibe. The Garden Bakery is designed to innovate and infuse a breath of fresh air into the stodgy humdrum of one of the oldest market vicinities in Lucknow by Dhruva Kalra. An innovative workspace design has been created at Raipur by Ar. Sachi Lunia & Ar. Shreyansh Lunkad of White Tree Architects, which explains the nature of work and defines the workspace. Architect Ritu Chanekar of Ritu and associates puts forward a pure amalgamation of freaky compositions and artful concepts in her own Home Office in Nagpur. All these elements add up to create a visual symphony.
