The legendary Indian architect Chitra Vishwanath once rightly said that “Architects are mediators and architecture is the mediated product… They are not force- they are guides and it is this aspect women can bring in to the world to make it a better place!” It is not debatable that an architect’s interpretation of design, art and architecture relies on their dynamic approach towards the field and women designers have always proven that they not only design spaces vividly emphasising on celebrating harmony and equality, but also in accordance with empirical aesthetics concerning the surroundings.
The Neptune GLITZ architecture & interiors magazine joins the celebration of International Women’s Day of this year by dedicating the March 2023 issue to the designers who, through the expression of her craft, continue to define their own narrative, mission and style that is responsive to the human psyche.
GLITZ was proud to be a part of the launch of renowned architect Dulal Mukherjee’s book “Bridging Lines and Roots” at Kolkata which hosted a star studded lineup of architects & designers, and eminent people from sister industries.
It was a wave of overwhelming feelings to receive the entries by women architects, designers, journalists and entrepreneurs for TEJOMAYA Women in Design Award 2023. This issue constitutes the finalist entries from the architecture and interior design categories. I wish all the finalists all the best wishes for the final leg of the competition. Although, each of you is a winner in our eyes, some stand out strikingly to the point where we feel privileged to be getting a chance to honour them with the award.
TEJOMAYA Women in Design Award 2023 is an exclusive platform for talented and inspiring female architects and interior designers. The award ceremony will be held on 1st March 2023 at Courtyard by Marriott, Raipur. We are all set to host you! Welcome and have a good time.
