This issue’s cover features the Kanjari, Gujarat residence by Janki Vyas, Margi Choksi, Shivansh & Sneha Suthar of Studio 2+2 who devised open planning to support maximum visibility of the landscape from all the interior spaces. Also presented are the post-event reports of the opening ceremony of Coconut Peninsula Resort, an idyllic getaway nestled at Tangi, Choudwar of Odisha’s Cuttack district and IIA’s national conference NATCON-22 which was a metaphor for to the current state of architecture in India. Sangeet Sharma of SD Sharma & Associates incorporated varied materiality in the modernistic design of the academic building at IIT Roorkee. Spread across three levels, each level of the Gurugram residence reveals a different mood based on its function, a design of Meenu Agarwal of MADS Creations. Priyanka Khanna & Rudraksh Charan of 42MM Architecture consciously subjects the elements and style of a French structure onto the site at the Lucknow restaurant. Occupants’ well-being and comfort play a major role in the design of the Raipur restaurant designed by Twinkle Nathani & Mayank Wadhwa of Studio Skywell. Built as a load-bearing structure, Vaissnavi Shukl creates intimate spaces with views of the lake, the garden and the plantations at the Thol residence. Shivam Bagdia, at the Nagpur home, formulated a minimalist interior theme with an intended modern colour tone of white and grey. K. Srinivas Subudhy of Avakaz Architects produces a perfect mixture of elements like wood, concrete, and neutral colours to portray simplicity and a minimalistic design at their Bhubaneswar office. Abhishek Chadha of The KariGhars designed the Bengaluru home where each space in the house is exclusively designed to reflect the personality of the user. Finally, I am excited to place the final call for entries for The Neptune GLITZ TEJOMAYA Award for Women in Design 2023- which is an attempt to celebrate the success of women in the field of design.
