Every November we celebrate our dear St Martin on the cover of our magazine and our lovely image this month was painted by the late Sr Paula Mary George OP. November is also the Month of The Holy Souls and in his Editorial Fr John Walsh OP has a lovely story on that theme. This is continued in Echoes where Patricia Hope looks at the emergence of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. The much loved and celebrated priest, Dublin native, Fr John Sullivan SJ, is the subject of Famous Converts. In 1605, Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators attempted to blow up the British House of Lords in response to the virulent anti-Catholicism prevalent in England during that time. Their story is told in It Happened This Month. Many of our readers prayed for and financially sponsored a Jubilee of Youth pilgrimage to Rome last July. The group comprised nearly twenty pilgrims and four Irish Dominicans from St Saviours in Dublin. An account of their wonderful experiences is relayed in an article by Clare Harkness. All our regular articles continue with Friends of Saint Martin becoming Brothers of Saint Martin as we celebrate the reception of five new Dominican Novices and the Simple Profession of one. Christmas is approaching and you will find some lovely ideas for gifts on page 40 and the inside back cover. We also have a selection of Cards for the Season to appeal to all tastes!

St Martin Magazine Description:

St Martin Apostolate has published our monthly St. Martin Magazine in Ireland since 1952. A wonderful magazine for Catholics around the world. Our magazine is packed with articles to help develop your understanding and your faith.

Included are articles on all aspects of life, news and views on important world events, helpful tips and articles for life, home and the garden. In short, it is a worthwhile easy-to-read magazine that millions of readers have enjoyed over the past decades.

We publish the magazine to promote devotion to St. Martin, to encourage people in the practice of their faith and to generate funds for our mission of bringing the word of God to as many people as possible. We currently publish some 40,000 print copies every month - that's nearly half a million copies every year - and are excited about the reach of our digital version across the world - so please tell your friends and colleagues about its availability.
