Glorious Biscuit fires in another cracking win in Ipoh

Glorious Biscuit, a beaten favourite when seventh on a soft track in Ipoh at his last start on Oct 4, made amends by winning the RM20,000 (S$6,100) Class 5A race over 1,400m under similar track conditions on Oct 19.

With his regular rider How Yang unavailable, jockey Wong Kam Chong took the ride on the Highland Reel six-year-old trained by Ismadi Ismail, and they triumphed over the Richard-Lim trained favourite Southern Speed in Race 6.

One of the first to break, Troy See allowed Southern Speed to take the lead from barrier 1 shortly after jumping.

The Mahadi Taib-trained Dream King (Lim Shung Uai) settled in second, while Glorious Biscuit raced a handy third on the rails when the field settled down.
