So happy to just get back on the beach, says Damien Martyn on road to recovery

Australian cricket great Damien Martyn has shared another encouraging update on his recovery after surviving a life-threatening bout of meningitis that left him in an induced coma late last year, saying he is grateful to be able to walk and swim again.
The former Australia batter was rushed to a hospital on the Gold Coast on Boxing Day after falling suddenly ill.
Doctors diagnosed him with a severe form of meningitis, a dangerous infection that affects the brain, and as his condition deteriorated, Martyn was placed in a medically induced coma for eight days.
A month on from the scare, the 54-year-old says his health is steadily improving.
Posting a photograph from the beach on social media, Martyn reflected on the ordeal and thanked those who supported him through the difficult period.
