Heart Evangelista On Most Fulfilling Self-Reward

"Siguro yung tumaya ako sa buhay," responded Heart when asked about the "most special reward" she had given herself during the McDonald's Rewards Day at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.

"That I went down the less-travelled road. And that would be Fashion Week. Kasi hindi siya masyadong naiintindihan before."

The Kapuso actress and fashion icon first participated at Paris Fashion Week in 2017 and has attended various Fashion Week events abroad since then.

"But then aside from fashion, there was a bigger purpose, which was to really express yourself. Be yourself in a world where everybody seems to be perfect. 'Who's this little girl walking down the street wearing all of her fashionable clothes?' And just being happy. And because I was able to do that, I was able to liberate myself."

She felt that blessings poured in after that moment in her life. "Maybe because there are a lot of people who were touched, like you just have to be yourself and everything will go for you. Because when you're happy, it will be infectious."

Heart also emphasized the importance of paying it forward with every blessing that comes her way. It's the same mantra she learned from her father.
