500 Crore Free Trips Made by Women on KSRTC Buses Under Shakti Yojana

KARNATAKA State Guarantees Schemes Implementation Authority vice-president Pushpa Amarnath announced that 500 crore free trips have been made by women on KSRTC buses under the Shakti Yojana.
Speaking at a press conference at the Zilla Panchayat Hall here on Saturday, Pushpa described it a major milestone and a record-setting achievement by the Congress government.
"Since the launch of the scheme, women have taken 500 crore free trips on KSRTC buses. To mark this achievement, our government is organising celebrations at the district and taluk levels. From the start, we have been a pro-poor and pro-women government. By empowering women with free transport, we have set a remarkable record in the country and ensured they enjoy true freedom of movement in our state. We will celebrate this success on July 14," she said.
