Teachers to stage protest against pvt varsities Bill

THE Association of University Teachers (AUT) and Madurai Kamaraj, Manonmaniam Sundaranar, Mother Teresa, and Alagappa University Teachers' Association (MUTA) will stage protest on Wednesday demanding state government to completely withdraw the Private Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2025, and immediately extend Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) benefits to teachers in government-aided colleges.
AUT-MUTA will stage a demonstration at the Directorate of Collegiate Education while AUT will hold its sit-in protest at Rajarathinam Stadium in Chennai. The associations
