Police still probing teenager's death

THE death of teenager Reagan Brown is still being investigated a year after her body was found.

The 19-year-old, from Hexham, Northumberland, disappeared after meeting a friend in Newcastle city centre on May 6 last year.

Her body was found in the lake at Leazes Park two days later.

As an inquest into her death was opened in December a coroner gave the provisional cause of Reagan's death as “drowning”.

However, police have confirmed they are still probing the tragedy, and that two suspects arrested following Reagan's death remain under investigation.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Our thoughts remain firmly with the family and friends of Reagan Brown following her tragic death in May last year. A year on, our investigation into Reagan’s death remains ongoing.
