RESIDENT SAYS IT HAS BEEN ‘A MESS’ FOR YEARS

KIRKLEES Council has promised to clear tipped waste from an “eyesore” patch of land on a Huddersfield street.

The council made the promise to the Examiner after we raised concerns on behalf of Nadeem Ahmed, who claimed the land near his home on Springdale Avenue, Thornton Lodge, had not been tidied up for years, while people had been using it to dump everything from tyres to mattresses.
