Not guilty pleas are entered for Southport child murder suspect

Axel Rudakubana, the 18-year-old accused of being behind the fatal knife attack at a dance class in Southport, has had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf to charges of the murder of three children and 10 counts of attempted murder.
Rudakubana appeared at Liverpool crown court via video link from HMP Belmarsh, where he is being held. He did not speak during the hearing and pleas were entered for him. Three girls - Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven - were killed at a Taylor Swift-themed class at the Hart Space community centre in Southport on 29 July during the first week of the summer holidays.
