Duplicate voters: Doorstep check halted for new photo verification

Facing challenges in verifying 11 lakh duplicate voter entries, the BMC has halted ward-level door-to-door checks.
The civic election office is now conducting photo-based verification, following which a final list of confirmed duplicates will be prepared. Door-to-door verification will resume after December 10, said an official.
