Indore youth overcomes total visual impairment to secure AIR 173

More than two dozen youths have cleared the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam with flying colours on Friday.

Bhopals Ishan Bhatnagar grabbed 5th rank, while Dhar district’s Pakshal Secretary clinched 8th rank, making everyone proud. In aremarkable display of determination and grit, Indore-based Akshat Baldwa, who is 100% visually impaired, secured AIR-173.

Ishan Bhatnagar was earlier selected for Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and is currently undergoing IRS training in Nagpur. By grabbing the 5th rank in UPSC 2025, he cleared his path to become an IAS officer. He did his schooling in the state capital. Coming from a science stream, he scored 96.2 percent in Class 12. Later he went to Delhi to study at National Law University. His father is a retired officer while his mother isa professor of English.
