Australia's seasoned fast bowler Mitchell Starc etched his name in cricketing history on Thursday, surpassing the iconic Wasim Akram to become the most successful left-arm fast bowler in Test cricket.

The milestone came during the second session of Day 1 of the pink-ball Ashes Test at the Gabba in Brisbane, where Starc once again proved his mastery under lights.
The 34-year-old pacer delivered a lethal spell, removing Harry Brook, Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope in the first two sessions to script a memorable moment in his illustrious career. His twin breakthroughs in the opening session set the tone, and with the wicket of Pope in the second, Starc climbed past Akram to claim the No. 1 spot among left-arm pacers.
