Your blood can offer a lifeline to whether someone who is ill or has been injured will survive through their crisis or not.

On 14 June, countries worldwide will celebrate World Blood Donor Day and hold events to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products.

The theme is, "20 years of celebrating giving: thank you blood donors", and reinforces the need for more people all over the world to become life-savers by volunteering to donate blood regularly.
