What a great time to be alive.

On Bafana Bafana's World Cup qualification
What a great time to witness the greatness of this current generation of Bafana Bafana players. They've made the country proud by qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They've reminded us who we are. They've reminded the world that South African football still has that spark, that rhythm, that fighting spirit. You look at what they have done, it’s special. They've carried the flag with pride, they've played for the badge, and they’ve written their names in the history books. Yes, it wasn’t easy. We almost had a setback when we had three points deducted and goals were taken away for fielding Teboho Mokoena against Lesotho. That could have killed the belief, but instead, it fuelled it. They kept believing. The coach, Hugo Broos, kept believing. The entire nation kept hoping and look at us now. We're going to North America. We're going back to the biggest stage in world football. When I look at this Bafana team, I see unity, belief and hard work. But most importantly, I see a group of men who never gave up. That's what it takes to qualify for the World Cup. It’s not luck, it’s preparation, discipline, and the ability to fight through difficult moments.

Adams faces race against time
Jayden Adams' international future hangs in the balance, and the countdown has officially begun. With just one month remaining before Hugo Broos finalises his squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, the 24-year-old midfielder finds himself in a position few would have predicted two years ago. Once a rising star of Stellenbosch FC and a standout performer at the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast, Adams now faces the harsh reality of reduced game time at Mamelodi Sundowns and uncertainty around his Bafana Bafana role. The player who earned his way into Broos' plans through hard work and consistency has slipped into unfamiliar territory at club level, and his national team prospects have dimmed as a result. The Siya crew has been tracking his situation closely, uncovering worrying signs behind the scenes as Adams fights to keep his AFCON dream alive.
