MARTIN Paterson is pushing Notts County for more, amidst the positivity that comes from the manner of victory they secured last weekend.

The Magpies won against the odds at Bristol Rovers, having gone down to ten men in the first half, and the lateness of Matthew Dennis’ winner made for the dramatic scenes at the end.

It is victories like that which feel momentous in the moment, considering the wider context of the season, but the story can change quickly, particularly at this point in the campaign, with games coming quickly after one another during the festive period.

Paterson would have enjoyed what he experienced last weekend, but shifted all the focus back onto his team and the supporters in a selfless display that head coaches typically exhibit in moments of positivity.
