A FATHER of two 'behaved like a lout' when he fractured another man's eye socket with a single punch when drunk.

Nottingham Crown Court was told how part-time delivery driver Wayne Fisher lashed out with what the judge described as “a sucker punch” on the victim who the hearing was told was trying to calm things down.

The force of the 41-year-old’s blow rendered the man unconscious and he had to have a broken nose reset and take time off work before returning on light duties.

Now his attacker has been spared an immediate prison term after stay-ing out of trouble for the near four years it has taken to bring the case to a conclusion.

Handing him a suspended jail sentence, Judge Mark Watson said:
