We could feel the positive energy ahead of big game

DIOGO Dalot could feel 'positive energy' in Manchester United training in the days leading up to the Liverpool game.

Ruben Amorim became the first United manager since Louis van Gaal to win at Anfield.

Amorim granted additional time off for the players who had been travelling for international duty or trained throughout the break, meaning United had just a few days to prepare with a full squad to face Liverpool.

"To be honest, it's hard, especially when you come from the national team to prepare for a game like this," said Dalot after the game.

"You have the full squad for two or three days, no more than that, but the lads who stayed... and the last few days we had were really good.

"Even the players who were not going to start, you could feel the energy and the positive energy they were giving to those who were going to start, because at any moment they can be important.
