Mainoo puts work in after England snub

UNITED midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has shown Ruben Amorim that he is not resting on his laurels this week despite not being called up for the England squad.

Mainoo's future at United appears to be in jeopardy after he asked to leave the club on loan last week.

The Reds' response to this request was one of defiance with Amorim eager to keep hold of the youngster.

As the window slammed shut on Monday, it was clear the 20-year-old would not be departing Old Trafford and he remains a United player until January at least.
