Lost puppy 'looked after' by fox during month away

FROM dogs to cats, lizards to birds - any animal owner will tell you their beloved pet going missing is among their biggest fears.

But that nightmare became a reality for Laura Nekooie when her rescue dog Lola broke free from her lead while on a walk. The one-year-old pup had only been at her new home in Stockport for three weeks when she became frightened by a bang and ran away on October 11.

Distraught Laura, who lives in the Heaton Norris area, contacted Greater Manchester Lost Dog (GMLD) Search & Rescue Capture Team and volunteers immediately stepped in to help.
