Radacanu hails ‘dangerous' Xu after battle of the Brits

EMMA Raducanu believes it's only a matter for time before British teenager Mimi Xu is back on Wimbledon's big stage, writes James Toney of Sportsbeat.

The former US Open champion is only 22 so can remember exactly what it was like for Xu, 17, as she made her All England Club debut on No. 1 Court.

Xu used to train at the LTA's national academy in Loughborough, which was where she once stayed up with other aspiring players to watch Raducanu claim her famous win at Flushing Meadows four years ago.

There were clearly nerves on her Wimbledon bow, with a supportive crowd doing their best to cheer both players equally.
