'He is loved by all in the family and we just want him back home'

THE desperate family of a missing Loughborough University student have made an impassioned appeal to find him as a major search operation continues.

Aryan Sharma has not been in contact with his family for over a week after he was last seen leaving his property in the town.

The 20-year-old was last in contact with his family on Friday, November 21, before CCTV captured him leaving his home in the town at 9.20pm that day.

He was then seen walking around the town into the early hours of Saturday before being captured on CCTV in Meadow Lane, near to the Brush site, at 12.30am, walking towards Stanford on Soar.

Aryan’s mother reported him missing on Sunday evening after becoming increasingly concerned when he failed to respond to messages, which the family said is out of character.

Police have since deployed drones, helicopters and specialist search teams in a bid to find him.
