Watch out for fires in your area

A collaborative fire awareness campaign was held in Kgakala Ext 4, Leeudoringstad last week.

Various departments and organizations joined to educate the community on fire safety. The event saw participation from the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality Fire Department, Working on Fire from Wolwespruit Nature Reserve, the Community Police Forum (CPF), and Community Safety Patrollers from the Leeudoringstad SAPS.

Mccaswell Khumalo attended the event and said the speakers emphasized the importance of responsible behaviour to prevent fires.

They warned people against leaving paraffin stoves alight at night time which can cause unnecessary fires and damage to property.
