Keeper is an odd little video game that mixes the storytelling nature of cult classic Journey with 2023's puzzle climber Jusant.

I immediately felt both of those games were major influences on this atmospheric, surrealist puzzle adventure. And it's all the better for it.

You take on the role of an old lighthouse which, after aeons of lying dormant, is suddenly awakened when a bird called Twig crashlands on top of it.

What unfolds is one of the most beautifully drawn video games I've ever seen.

Your clunky lighthouse takes on a personality of its own, as it traverses colourful and psychedelic landscapes which encourage you to drink those gorgeous visuals all in.

Your core mechanic is simply a focusing of the light atop your structure, which can open pathways, scare off threats and make things like trees grow.
