TOM LACEY is returning Cruz Control to familiar territory in the BetMGM Rehearsal Handicap Chase at Newcastle today.

The three-time course scorer heads to Gosforth Park instead of running in Newbury’s Coral Gold Cup, which has a maximum field of 24 runners.
Cruz Control was sent to the Berkshire track for its gallops morning on November 18, where the chaser worked upsides winner of one Montemares.
Lacey, operating at a 24 per cent strike rate in the last fortnight, said it helped to put his horse spot-on for his trip to the North East.
