MARCO PENGE will bid to end his rollercoaster year on another high by beating Rory Mcliroy, winning the DP World Tour Championship and becoming European No.1.

- BY NEIL McLEMAN

The past 12 months has seen the now world No.29 go from just saving his place on the DP Tour to three wins, an invite to the Masters and a PGA Tour card.

Penge, 27, has also served a betting ban and was diagnosed with ADHD. Now for the final event of 2025, the Horsham-born star will go head-to-head with Masters champion Mcliroy (right) for the first two rounds at the Jumeirah Golf Estates.

Penge revealed he had been “poorly” and hotelbound for two days. “I was in bed yesterday watching Rory play here last year on Youtube,” he said.
