Maratha quota activist to start indefinite strike from Mumbai on Jan 20

Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange-Patil on Saturday announced that he will continue to seek reservations for the community by undertaking another indefinite hunger strike from January 20 from Mumbai if the government does not meet their demand.

Addressing a massive rally in Beed, Jarange said: "They (the government) have given notices to our people against holding protests and also imposed prohibition on assembly of four or more people till January 18 in many districts. Hence, let's move to Mumbai... From January 20, Jarange-Patil will sit on an indefinite hunger strike at Azad Maidan and you all will come to meet me."
The quota activist said he will leave his village in Antarwali in Jalna district on foot and reach Mumbai during which members from the community will also join him.
