Big Oppn meet set for July 17-18 amid NCP crisis

Fifteen opposition parties will meet in Bengaluru on July 17 and 18, Congress general secretary KC Venugopal announced on Monday.
The meeting, coming in the backdrop of the Centre's push for a Uniform Civil Code and the recent split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), is aimed at bolstering opposition unity, make concrete plans for the 2024 Parliamentary election and discuss a joint strategy for the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament.
"After a hugely successful AllOpposition meeting in Patna, we will be holding the next meeting in Bengaluru on 17 and 18 July, 2023. We are steadfast in our unwavering resolve to defeat the fascist and undemocratic forces and present a bold vision to take the country forward," tweeted Venugopal.
