THAROOR WAS APPOINTED TO LEAD DELEGATION TO KEY PARTNER COUNTRIES IN WAKE OF PAHALGAM ATTACK
JAIPUR: Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday said that the Congress MP Shashi Tharoor did "wrong by not informing the party leadership about his appointment to lead an all-party delegation" to key partner countries, including members of the United Nations Security Council later this month to convey India's message of zero tolerance against terrorism following the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.
Addressing reporters at Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee headquarter in Jaipur, he said, "We respect him. He has remained a foreign minister and has also delivered lectures at the UN. We respect his experience. He is a nice person. It is also possible that anyone from the government or the opposition party offers him such a job. But it was Tharoor's duty to inform the party."
