Maha politics heats up over Salian death case, Aaditya denies link

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Thursday said attempts were being made to malign his image over the June 2020 accidental death case of Disha Salian, even as the issue rocked both the Maharashtra legislature after members of the ruling Mahayuti raised the controversy over the death of the celebrity PR manager.

The development came a day after Satish Salian, father of 28-year-old Disha, said he has moved the Bombay high court seeking a fresh probe into the mysterious circumstances under which she was found dead. The petition demanded registration of an FIR against Aaditya Thackeray among others and transfer of the probe to CBI, Salian told reporters, adding that the plea also claimed that his daughter was gang-raped and murdered.
