Neville Tata, Bhaskar Bhat appointed trustees of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust

IN A SIGN of how Noel Tata, chairman, Tata Trusts, is consolidating his position, his son Neville and group veteran Bhaskar Bhat have been appointed trustees of the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT) for three years. Neville’s name was proposed by Darius Khambata while former Titan managing director Bhat’s name was proposed by Vijay Singh at the board meeting on Tuesday.

The development sets the tone for the board meeting of the Sir Ratan Tata Trust (SRTT), sources said, where similar appointments can be expected. The SDTT and the SRTT together hold more than 51% of Tata Sons, the holding company for the group companies.
