New faces at Commons have to wait for desks

NEW MPs face having to “hot desk” in Parliament as authorities rush to find them offices.
Dozens of MPs were heading to the Commons today to start work in their first full week.
Some arrived on Friday soon after the election results were announced in the early hours of the morning, giving Labour a landslide 174 seat majority, others over the weekend.
They are shown around Westminster by officials who explain the various routes to get to different parts of the sprawling parliamentary estate.
They are also given lockers to store their possessions while the allocation of offices is worked out.
