DERBY

County held their fans’ forum lon Thursday night at Pride Park stadium where supporters were given the chance to ask questions to get the latest on everything happening at the club.Derby head coach John Eustace was joined by players Carlton Morris, Lewis Travis and Owen Eames for the first half of the event, before chief executive Stephen Pearce and academy interim manager Jamie Smith then took to the stage after the interval.

They were all quizzed on a variety of topics ranging from their best games of this season, the future and what is happening off the pitch.

Here, we bring you the best bits of the forum.

BOBBY CLARK DEAL?

There weren't many questions about player transfers this summer, but one that did crop up was about on-loan midfielder Bobby Clark.

Clark has proven to be a big favourite at Derby since his move on loan from RB Salzburg last summer and he has played an intrinsic role in the club's rise towards the top six.

Whether a permanent deal could happen remains to be seen this summer, although you would expect the club to explore the opportunity.

Eustace said: “I think if we're looking to build and we're looking to sustain a really competitive Championship team, if we can sign as many players on loan as possible, that would be fantastic.

“Obviously, I know it’s going to be very expensive, but we want to bring in as many good players as possible to the football club, and I think we've got a really good competitive squad now.

“If we can keep as many of those players as possible, then next season it'll be even stronger for us.”

EUSTACE SHOWS HIS FUNNY SIDE

One thing that John Eustace does possess is a razor-sharp sense of humour and last night was no exception.
