Daizen on way out of Parkhead in January

DAIZEN MAEDA is poised for a January exit as Celtic brace themselves for a bidding war.

The champions have turned down several approaches for the Japan international in the last couple of windows.

The frontman vented his frustration after the summer one closed by lifting the lid to Japanese media that he'd wanted to leave but the club had been unwilling to sell because they didn’t have a replacement lined up.

Brentford wanted the player while there was also major Bundesliga interest in the summer.

Sources close to the star have confirmed there is still strong interest in the 28-year-old going into the new year.
