RISHI Sunak was blasted yesterday after threatening to take benefits away from people who are suffering from anxiety and depression.

The PM said he will clamp down on welfare rules if re-elected, with hundreds of thousands forced back to work. He will outline within days how he wants to target Personal Independence Payments.

James Taylor, of disability equality charity Scope, branded it "a horrific proposal".
