ARE JUST Stop Oil's warriors destined for a place in the history books after declaring victory in their three-year battle to save the world? Of course, there will be no history books to record their sacrifice in paper is bad for the environment.

Smug JSO will be lost to the orange sands of time soon

Sadly even social media takes its toll on the climate, with all those smartphones made from rare earth components and energy-intensive servers that store the information.

But, surely, a century from now, a climate-friendly form of recording information will have been found so the children of tomorrow will be able to read about JSO heroes who made such sacrifices on their behalf? How could we not record for posterity the bravery of Caspar Hughes, Tristan Strange, Jessica Agar, Simon Bramwell and Lucy Porter who glued themselves to the frame of Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper at the Royal Academy of Arts?

It would be a crying shame if Edred Whittingham's name was forgotten by future generations after the selflessness he showed by disrupting the World Snooker Championship when he jumped on to a table mid match to cover it in orange powder. We must not forget the courage shown by the soup throwers, Phoebe Plummer and Anna Holland, who helped win the battle by chucking a tin of Heinz's finest over Vincent van Gogh's Sunflowers. And top billing must go to Roger Hallam, Lucia Whittaker De Abreu, Cressida Gethin, Daniel Shaw and Louise Lancaster.
