Ambulances struck by Israeli air strikes as first Britons flee

PEOPLE have been killed and dozens hurt - including children - in an Israeli attack on an ambulance convoy near a hospital, said the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry.
Spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said: "We informed the Red Cross and the Red Crescent, we informed the whole world, that those victims were lined up in those ambulances. This was a medical convoy."
Around 16 hospitals in Gaza are no longer functioning due to damage from bombing and a lack of fuel, the health ministry said. Israel's military said it had identified and hit an ambulance "being used by a Hamas terrorist cell" in the war zone.
