A COFFEE morning held in Branston is celebrating its one-year anniversary of helping to combat loneliness.

The popular Branston Places of Welcome coffee morning, which offers free refreshments and a place to socialise, held a party to mark the occasion featuring homemade cakes, party hats, and even a game of pass the parcel.

Attendees shared how the coffee morning has positively impacted their lives by rekindling old friendships, creating new ones, and spreading happiness across the community.

Branston Town Council describes the project, which is run in partnership with social housing association Trent & Dove, as a “dream come true”
