BURTON Albion assistant manager Pat Lyons says the Brewers can take heart from their away performances as they head to AFC Wimbledon today.

- By CHRIS TRAVERS

The Brewers find themselves in the League One drop zone and take on a Dons side who are riding high in the division.

However, Burton are unbeaten in their last three league away games and Lyons insists they're determined to extend that run.

"It certainly looks that way at the moment (getting more joy away from home).

"I'm not sure what that would be down to because last year we were very good at home, especially in the last four or five months of the season," Lyons told the club.

"We've played five away matches so far this season, and if you look back to the Barnsley and Stockport games, we arguably could've taken something from them.

"Then we've been unbeaten in the last three at Huddersfield, Cardiff and Doncaster, keeping two clean sheets in those games as well.

"I think this season we're difficult to break down, we're good on the counter, and we're not conceding that many, obviously we want to be scoring more.

"Our challenge on Saturday will be huge, but it's one that we're relishing and hopefully we can give a good performance that will help us to take something from the game."
